Communication - Although all of us have been communicating with others since our infancy, the process of transmitting information from an individual (or group) to another is a very complex process. So here is a blog for everyone...just ramble on!

My idea of an ideal morning is to wake up and sit at the window sill and enjoy the sunrays that come in thru the window during summers or enojy the cool breeze that blows due to the rains during monsoon. Was sitting and reflecting...do we not miss the beautiful and enjoyable moments of life in our daily routine of work?

I am not against 'work'; it's just that I feel we loose out on the things that we aim to achieve by 'work', just because of work. The current scenario (or an emerging culture) is where the husband and wife both work. They do not see each other during the day, wud call about once or twice to inquire abt the other person's whereabouts, and possibly get time only on weekends to spend time with each other. And that too is a time when they 'rightfully' need some time to rest after the exhaustion of the week. If they have kids, they too are deprived of their parent's presence in their day to day life.

I donno whether there is a solution to the above problem, a woman has equal and good enuf reasons to choose and follow a career path, just as a man does; but does it result in a healthy family?

It's a different thing when people who work, work only to gain satisfaction from the work they do. But if they expect to enjoy the fruits of their labour in their personal life, do they really achieve the material comforts they aim for, and compromise on their emotional needs, at the same time?

Donno..is there a way out of this circle?? Life is full of ironies. We spend our entire lives to earn enuf to buy a comb, but we loose all our hair, by the time we have it!!!

I like your the thought of ideal morning.but how about getting up late ? :-p And if its raining I would never get up from my cozy bed....I bet you too wouldn't ;-)

Well, I certainly miss the enjoyable moments of life in our daily routine life...May be I guess we can achieve it by a balance between work and rest... I need to work on that part too :-p

    >The current scenario (or an emerging culture) is where the husband and wife both work.

I guess these days both of them work. Just that the motivational factor for both of them may be different. For few its a necessity to earn their livelihood. For few they want to make good savings and may enjoy later in life. For few work signifies individuality. For few they work is life and for few they wanna live lavishly.
I agree kids do get deprive of their parents, marriages may not work out, as the amount of time you spent with your other half is quite less then what he or she needs.. Not work doesn't mean fail but its mean not satisfactory...

    > but does it result in a healthy family?

I think it doesn't make a healthy family if both of them are out all day and just show up at dinner table. Kids do need someone. I feel it would be nice if either one could stay at home. But Indian family prospect has been much better as we stay with our parents. There is a family member who makes sure that kid is brought up properly. Grandparents enjoy more with their grand kids and then ne1 else. In a way, though my mother was home I loved being with my grandfather...I totally miss him yaar... Well, once the kid starts school..I feel either one can come home early from work if they wish to work.
Well,I don't mind sitting at home:-)
    I m just kiddin yaar..
    What do ya say "NAJ"?

    >material comforts they aim for, and compromise on their emotional needs, at the same time?

I think you always have to balance between work and family. Work is not life. Family is definitely Life :-)
    >Donno..is there a way out of this circle??
Yes! Only people I know who can get out of this game are Priests and Nuns. So what do say? R u IN or OUT?

    >Life is full of ironies. We spend our entire lives to earn enuf to buy a comb, but we loose all our hair, by the time we have it!!!
I will agree to this one yaar :-)
    You said it ALL.

  2. and possibly get time only on weekends to spend time with each other.
I was reading this novel Spouse the truth about marriage, which said...how many times do we see couple travelling in the morning to office, one reading newspaper, while the other busy on phone calls....we fail to see these small small things in life that could make a lot of difference.

and possibly get time only on weekends to spend time with each other.
    Thats wht...

    We spend our entire lives...
    Hahaha...that was funny :)

  3. Every marriage has its own architecture. It takes two to make any r'ship successful.

We call marriage a sacred institution, but it is also an imperfect human contract!

Yup! We earn ourselves all the materialistic comforts of life..but in the bargain tend to overlook all the simple things of life, which actually sustains life.

“Winning is the result of having a winner’s mind and a winning positive attitude.

True, genuine and worthy prizes beling to those who have war scars to show. Overcoming trials, tests, tribulations and barriers. There's nuthing sweeter than winning against all odds.

We grieve for what might have been or wish for things to be different - But we forget that this is wat is the meaning of our life and tht's what we deserve.

I am grateful for ths knowledge and understanding that I have gained in recognizing this wonderful gift of life and I bask in its glory and for all the blessings it showers upon me each day, which makes my ordinary and mundane life truly AWESOME. :-)

If there are choices that rule will apply for both. What do you say about it?
